The High Court of Delhi has officially released the Delhi Higher Judicial Service (DHJS) Examination 2026 notification. This recruitment drive aims to fill 27 vacancies (24 existing + 3 anticipated) through direct recruitment into the Delhi Higher Judicial Service.

  • Total Vacancies: 27
    • Existing Vacancies: 24

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination

  • Objective Type Examination
  • 25% Negative Marking
  • Qualifying in nature for the Mains Examination

2. Mains Examination

  • Written Examination
  • Candidates qualifying the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Mains.

3. Viva-Voce (Interview)

  • Final stage of selection.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

Nationality

  • Must be an Indian Citizen.

Experience

For Advocates:

  • Minimum 7 years of continuous practice as an Advocate as on 15 July 2026.

For Judicial Officers:

  • Seven years of practice before joining judicial service, or
  • Seven years' combined experience as Judicial Officer and Advocate.

Age Limit

Candidates must:

  • Have attained 35 years
  • Must not have attained 45 years
  • Age will be calculated as on 15 July 2026.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be appointed in the Delhi Higher Judicial Service (J-5) Pay Scale:

₹1,44,840 – ₹1,94,660
