WHAT IS CUET-UG?

CUET-UG stands for Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate. It is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to Undergraduate (UG) courses in Central, State, Deemed, and Private Universities across India. Earlier, students were admitted based on Class 12 board marks, but now CUET-UG has become the common gateway to prestigious universities like

and more than 200 participating universities. CUET ensures one exam – multiple university options through a single application.

CUET-UG ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Educational Qualification:
  • Students who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 (10+2) exam from any recognized board are eligible.
  • The subject combination in CUET must match the subjects studied in Class 12.
Age Limit
  • There is no upper age limit for CUET-UG.
  • Candidates must satisfy the age criteria (if any) of their desired university.
Minimum Marks
  • General Category: Minimum 50% marks in Class 12 (may vary by university).
  • SC/ST/OBC/PwD: Minimum 45% marks (relaxation as per government norms).
Nationality
  • Indian nationals are eligible.
  • NRIs/Foreign nationals may also apply as per individual university guidelines
