All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)

What is AILET Exam?

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET Exam) is conducted by National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) for admission to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) level law courses. This is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to law programmes at NLU Delhi only.

Note: No other entrance exam is accepted for NLU Delhi admissions. CLAT 2025 score is also not acceptable for admission to NLU Delhi.

AILET EXAM Eligibility Criteria 2025

NLU Delhi will shortlist only eligible candidates, therefore, those seeking admission at NLU Delhi through AILET 2025 must check the eligibility criteria. Educational Qualifications

·       Candidates must have passed their class 12 exams with minimum 45% scores from a recognized institute.

·       SC/ST/PwD candidates must score a minimum 40% aggregate score in their class 12.

·       Candidates who are appearing for their class 12 exams are also eligible to appear for the AILET 2025 exam.


Age Limit

1.               There is no age limit to take up the AILET exam.

Note: Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET.

 

AILET Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025

 

NLU Delhi will share the exam pattern and syllabus of AILET along with admission notification. Based on the previous year's exam pattern, the AILET question paper for BA LLB (Hons) has three sections wherein, the Logical Reasoning section carries 70 marks, the English Language carries 50 marks, and the Current Affairs & GK section carries 30 marks. The BA LLB paper contains a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (carrying 1 mark per question). Candidates must refer to the updated AILET exam pattern 2025 to prepare for the exam.
